Honda ZR-V: Discover Models and Prices

The Honda ZR-V is available with a 2.0-litre e:HEV full-hybrid producing 184 hp, combining two electric motors with an Atkinson-cycle petrol engine. This is the same proven powertrain found in the Civic e:HEV, positioned between the HR-V and CR-V in Honda's SUV range. A 1.5-litre VTEC turbo petrol with 182 hp is also available in some markets, paired with a CVT automatic.

The Honda ZR-V is relatively new to the Portuguese market, with used prices starting from approximately EUR 32,000 for early 2023 e:HEV models and reaching EUR 40,000 for fully equipped Advance trim versions. As a recent model, depreciation is limited, and used examples offer modest savings of EUR 3,000-5,000 over new pricing. Supply of used units is gradually increasing as early leases expire.

Both the ZR-V and Corolla Cross offer self-charging hybrid powertrains in the C-SUV segment, but the ZR-V delivers noticeably more power (184 vs 140 hp) and a sportier driving character. The Corolla Cross offers slightly better fuel economy and Toyota's established hybrid reliability reputation. The ZR-V provides a more premium interior with higher-quality materials and a larger infotainment screen, though the Corolla Cross offers optional AWD.

The ZR-V features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 12-speaker Bose premium audio, Honda SENSING safety suite, and adaptive dampers on higher trims. The interior design combines quality materials with practical touches including a large centre console and heated/ventilated front seats. The 380-litre boot is competitive for the segment.

The ZR-V e:HEV achieves approximately 5.5-6.5 L/100km in mixed driving, competitive for a C-segment SUV with 184 hp. Urban driving benefits most from the hybrid system, where electric-mode dominance can reduce consumption below 5.0 L/100km. Highway fuel economy is around 6.0-7.0 L/100km, where the petrol engine operates more directly to maintain efficiency at sustained speeds.
