The third-generation Audi TT offered a 2.0 TFSI with 197 hp (40 TFSI) or 245 hp (45 TFSI Quattro), a 2.0 TDI with 184 hp, and the TTS with 306 hp. The range-topping TT RS delivered 400 hp from a characterful 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine with Quattro AWD and a seven-speed S tronic.

Used third-generation Audi TT models in Portugal range from approximately 22,000 EUR for a 2015-2017 Coupe to over 45,000 EUR for a late TT RS. The TTS typically sells between 30,000 EUR and 42,000 EUR. The Roadster convertible version commands a 3,000-5,000 EUR premium over the Coupe.

The 40 TFSI front-wheel-drive TT achieves approximately 6.5 to 7.5 litres per 100 km in mixed driving, while the 45 TFSI Quattro consumes 7.5 to 8.5 l/100 km. The TTS manages similar figures to the 45 TFSI thanks to its efficient calibration, while the TT RS requires 9.0 to 10.5 l/100 km.

Check the Virtual Cockpit display for any pixel issues or lag, as it is the TT's primary interface without a central screen. Inspect the magnetic ride dampers (if equipped) for leaks, and verify that Quattro models have had their Haldex coupling fluid changed at 60,000 km intervals. Listen for turbo wastegate rattle on cold starts.

The TT Coupe offers 305 litres of boot space and surprisingly usable rear seats for short journeys, making it viable as a daily driver on Portuguese roads. Its compact dimensions suit narrow city streets and tight parking, though the low ride height requires caution on cobblestone streets and speed bumps.

The 2019-2023 facelift models offer the best specification with updated LED Matrix headlights, enhanced Virtual Cockpit, and improved S tronic calibration. The TT was discontinued in 2023, making late production models increasingly collectible and a compelling alternative to more conventional sports cars.
