Lynk & Co 07 GT Europe Launch: 523 hp PHEV Wagon in 2027

A Chinese wagon with 523 hp, and Europe pencilled in for 2027

Four seconds to 100 km/h. In a family estate with a 614-litre boot and an electric tow hook. Lynk & Co launched the 07 GT in China on 23 July 2026, and it is the first wagon the brand has ever put into production — with something most Chinese debuts lack: a Lynk & Co 07 GT Europe launch confirmed for 2027.

That confirmation came straight from the company, in a press release issued on 30 June from Gothenburg, where Lynk & Co has been headquartered since 2016. The European car will get its own specification, adapted to EU regulations. One detail matters for buyers here: the 07 sedan was never sold in Europe, so the 07 GT would be the first member of the 07 family to reach us.

Lynk & Co 07 GT specs: two motors, three gears and a 1.5 turbo

The system is called EM-P. It pairs a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 120 kW (161 hp) with a three-speed DHT gearbox and electric motors. Two output levels are offered:

  • Front-wheel drive: 300 kW (402 hp) combined, 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds
  • All-wheel drive (dual motor): 390 kW (523 hp) combined, 0-100 km/h in roughly 4 seconds

In the all-wheel-drive car, the front P3 motor contributes 245 hp and the rear P4 motor adds 122 hp. Worth flagging: a lot of the international coverage published in June quoted 530 hp. That was the pre-sale figure. The official launch number is 523 hp, or 390 kW.

The chassis matches the ambition. MacPherson struts up front, multi-link rear, FSD hydraulic adaptive damping across the range, and magnetorheological MRC dampers exclusive to the AWD Performance version — unusual hardware at this price level.

The rear is what separates the 07 GT from the sedan: steeply raked glass, integrated spoiler and a 1,354 mm full-width taillight.

Lynk & Co 07 GT electric range: 200 km CLTC is worth less in Europe

Every version uses the same 28.3 kWh LFP battery, branded the Energee Golden Brick. The claimed figures:

  • Front-wheel drive: 200 km electric-only, 1,422 km combined
  • All-wheel drive: 170 km electric-only, 1,315 km combined

Now the caveat that changes everything. Those numbers come from the CLTC cycle, China's homologation standard, which is considerably more generous than Europe's WLTP. The gap typically runs 25% to 30%. Translated into what a European type-approval sheet will probably show: somewhere around 140 to 150 km of electric range for the front-drive car, and 120 to 130 km for the all-wheel-drive version.

Even after that haircut, it is a lot. A plug-in hybrid with a genuine 140 km of electric range covers the overwhelming majority of daily driving in Portugal — Cascais to Lisbon, Matosinhos to Porto, there and back, without burning a drop of petrol. Charge overnight on a home wallbox and the combustion engine becomes something you use for the August run down to the Algarve.

Boot space, towing and the numbers a family actually checks

The 07 GT measures 4,846 mm long (up to 4,866 mm on some versions), 1,900 mm wide and just 1,485 mm tall, on a 2,843 mm wheelbase. It is three millimetres longer than the 07 sedan — the difference is entirely in the shape, not the footprint.

The rear bench splits 4:6 and folds almost flat. And there is one number that tends to settle arguments in family households: 1.6 tonnes of towing capacity, with an electric retractable tow hook fitted as standard. That covers a small boat trailer or a light caravan.

Screens, LiDAR and a robot living on the dashboard

The cabin is where the 07 GT gives away its 2026 Chinese origins. A 15.4-inch central screen, a 10.2-inch digital cluster, an augmented-reality head-up display with a 95-inch projected image, and the LYNK Flyme Auto 2.5 operating system. Audio comes from 23 Harman Kardon speakers rated at 1,600 W.

Perched on top of the central screen sits Eva, a small physical robot that talks to occupants and helps plan journeys — the same idea as Nio's NOMI. Front seats get 12-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage.

On the driver-assistance side, every Chinese version comes with LiDAR as standard plus the G-ASD H5 system. Higher trims can be specified with H7, running an Nvidia Thor-U chip, 27 sensors and urban navigate-on-autopilot. This is exactly where the European car is likely to diverge most, since EU rules do not currently permit the autonomous functions China allows.

Lynk & Co 07 GT in Portugal: what we know and what we don't

Straight answer: there is no European or Portuguese price for this PHEV wagon yet. In China the range opens at 157,800 yuan (about $23,200) and tops out at 208,800 yuan for the Time Limited Edition, capped at 1,007 units and sold out during pre-orders. The car took more than 35,000 pre-orders in 24 days.

Treat those numbers as context and nothing more. A Chinese car crossing into Europe picks up import duties, WLTP homologation, extra safety equipment, network costs and — once it reaches Portugal — ISV, the one-off vehicle tax calculated on engine size and CO2 emissions. Plug-in hybrids qualify for a reduced ISV rate when electric range exceeds 50 km and emissions stay under 50 g/km, thresholds the 07 GT should clear comfortably. Even so, any euro figure we put on it today would be invention.

What is certain is that the brand is already here. Lynk & Co operates in 25 European markets with more than 140 partner-run sales points, and the current European line-up is the 01 (plug-in hybrid), the 02 (fully electric) and the 08 (long-range plug-in hybrid). On the Portuguese used market you'll mostly find the 01, typically between €20,000 and €35,000.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lynk & Co confirmed in an official press release issued on 30 June 2026 from its Gothenburg headquarters that the 07 GT is planned for Europe in 2027, with specifications adapted to EU regulations. There is no Portugal-specific date yet and no confirmed market list, but the brand already operates in 25 European markets with more than 140 partner-run sales points. Since the 07 sedan was never sold in Europe, the 07 GT would be the first member of the 07 family to reach us.

No European or Portuguese price has been announced, so any figure quoted today would be guesswork. In China the range spans four versions from 157,800 to 208,800 yuan (roughly $23,200 to $30,700), with launch promotions from 145,800 yuan. Treat those as context only: a car imported from China accumulates duties, WLTP homologation, extra safety equipment and, in Portugal, ISV calculated on engine size and CO2 emissions — although plug-in hybrids qualify for a reduced rate when electric range exceeds 50 km and emissions stay below 50 g/km.

The figures announced in China are 200 km of electric-only running for the front-wheel-drive version and 170 km for the all-wheel-drive one, from a 28.3 kWh LFP battery — but both are CLTC numbers. The CLTC cycle is considerably more generous than Europe's WLTP, with a typical gap of 25% to 30%. A European type approval should therefore land around 140 to 150 km for the front-drive car and 120 to 130 km for the AWD version, which would still be among the best in the plug-in hybrid class.

The front-wheel-drive version offers 614 litres of boot space, rising to 1,665 litres with the 4:6 split rear bench folded; the all-wheel-drive version has 548 litres, up to 1,599 litres. The wagon measures 4,846 mm long (up to 4,866 mm on some versions) on a 2,843 mm wheelbase, just three millimetres longer than the 07 sedan. Towing capacity is 1.6 tonnes with an electric retractable tow hook, enough for a small boat trailer or a light caravan.

The 07 GT is not on sale anywhere in Europe yet, but the brand already has a European line-up: the 01 (plug-in hybrid), the 02 (fully electric) and the 08 (long-range plug-in hybrid). On the Portuguese used market you will mostly find the 01, typically between €20,000 and €35,000 depending on year, mileage and condition. If you want a plug-in hybrid family car available now, it is worth comparing that stock with alternatives such as the Peugeot 508 SW hybrid or the BMW 3 Series Touring plug-in.

A growth bet placed at a difficult moment

The brand context is worth knowing. Lynk & Co sales in China are falling: 19,066 units in June 2026, down 27.5% year on year, and 144,215 across the first half, down 6.4%. That is eight consecutive months of decline from a peak of 40,213 in October 2025.

Which is precisely why a wagon makes sense. The estate body has little traction in China, but in Europe it remains the default answer for people who want space without buying an SUV. Sister brand Zeekr already sells two shooting brakes (the 007 GT and the 001), and Zeekr has held 51% of Lynk & Co since February 2025 — the architecture and the know-how already sit inside the group.

If the European version lands in 2027 with certified WLTP electric range above 130 km, optional all-wheel drive and pricing that undercuts a BMW 3 Series Touring plug-in or a Peugeot 508 SW hybrid, the 07 GT will have a real case to make. That is a lot of ifs. The European specification announcement, expected over the coming months, will answer most of them.
